Option 1 Credit Union is looking for part time Tellers to join the team at our Grand Rapids branches. Particularly energetic, positive and service-oriented Tellers are encouraged to apply. The best candidates will be professional, dependable and eager team players that enjoy assisting members by recommending great financial products and services with warm smiles and great attitudes.
We require excellent skills and experience in customer service and selling, computers, 10-key and communications. Previous cash-handling experience, sound credit history and ability to speak English fluently are all required, although Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given special consideration.
Saturday availability required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Balance and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Perform a variety of member transactions on Option 1’s computer system, Symitar.
- Answer questions regarding members accounts and credit union services.<
- Cross-sell products and services to members to meet member financial needs.

Insurance Coverage
Health Plans — As an employee of Option 1 Credit Union
working 30 hours per week or more, you will receive full medical,

Life Insurance — Option 1 Credit Union provides life
insurance equal to two times your annual salary for full-time
and part-time employees.
Disability Insurance — Option 1 Credit Union provides
short and long-term disability insurance at no cost to you.

Financial Security
Investment Plan 401(k) — Option 1 Credit Union offers
a 401(k) plan with company matching. CUNA Mutual Insurance Company
manages your funds and you can choose up to 14 investment options.
This is available to employees who have reached their 1 year
anniversary and are 21 years of age.
Retirement Plan — A defined benefit plan through CUNA Mutual Group is provided to each employee after 1 year
of service.
Flex Spending Account — You may set aside pre-tax dollars
from your pay to cover out-of pocket expenses for health and
dependent care.
Membership — As an employee of Option 1 you will be eligible
for membership at the Credit Union. This will entitle you to
the same array of products and services that our other members
enjoy.
Career Development
Educational Tuition Reimbursement — Option 1 employees
are eligible for tuition reimbursement up to $1,200.00 per year
depending on their work status and the education program.
Advancement — Option 1 fills positions from within whenever
possible.
Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holidays
PTO — New employees will accrue PTO from their date of hire and will be granted access to PTO upon completion of 90 days of service. Your time off increases
with your service as a Option 1 employee.
Holiday — Holidays include the “big six” plus
the Friday after Thanksgiving.
